As I was growing up I had dreams of living in a big beautiful house, being married, having children and living well financially. I thought about things that I didn’t want too, like names that I didn’t want to name my children, lol struggling financially, having to work at a jobs that I didn’t like just for a pay check, marrying someone who had a previous marriage and children, growing old, not being smart enough, never getting seriously ill let alone the big C, I was also self conscious about myself too and wanted to make changes. These are just a few of the many negative thoughts that went through my head. As I matured I realized that I was not alone with my thoughts and feelings, some of my friends had similar thoughts too.
This is me when I was almost 4 years old.
After learning more about the Law of Attraction I realized that I in fact achieved some of my negative thoughts and unwanted things on my list, that was a ah ha moment for me. So I immersed myself with researching and educating myself as much as I could. I read through many websites, books, this site leading to another, one book leading to the next, one subject linking to another, before I realized it I was surrounded by the Law of Attraction it was all around me I just didn’t pay attention to it before. Let me explain what I experienced, you know when you have a certain type of vehicle that you admire and would love to have as yours you start to see it everywhere, even when I was pregnant or had braces as an adult I saw others with the same. What you think about you will attract into your life and become aware of them.
I have also learned that we are not victims of circumstance we are always in control, it is what you allow to happen in your life. Now I realize that at times there are extreme circumstances such as the weather for example that we cannot control but we can control our reactions to the situation. Every experience is a lesson, something good comes from everything even from bad and undesirable experiences. Sometimes we just can’t see what our lesson is but eventually we will become aware of them.
We reap what we sow!
If I were to plant a dandelion seed I cannot expect to see a beautiful rose grow. Here is an analogy; Let’s look at our thoughts as if they were water in a bucket, right now the bucket is clear, every time you have a thought it will be as if you placed a drop of green food coloring into the bucket eventually with every thought or desire that you have the bucket of water will turn green. So if we want to achieve something in our life all we need to do is think about it and you will achieve it.
So I have been learning to let go of my negative experiences and dislikes or in other words put down and not carry those past issues that I kept as part of my life’s story. Why bother doing that all you do is keep it alive and relive it over and over again. Each day is a new day and it is our right to choose what to do with it. I have been reprograming my old limiting belief system and changing my thinking and lifestyle actions in order to achieve my goals and desires. Even at this moment I have stepped outside of my box and am writing this blog to share with you in hopes to help you and anyone else reading this.
There is so much to be grateful for in our life, stop dwelling on what you don’t have or don’t want or don’t like, learn to let go of negative conditions such as anger, hatred, worry, envy, jealousy, sorrow, trouble or disappointment of any kind. It doesn’t matter what she has or he has or what she or he did or didn’t do. It is all about you, what have you done? What do you want to achieve? No one can make you happy or rich or beautiful, it is all up to you. Start with loving yourself first and once you are filled up with love that love will overflow unto everyone you love or meet or see wherever you go. You will see and feel a big difference in your life. I know for myself that I have a lot to undo and I had to learn to forgive others too. These changes won’t happen overnight but in time I will be happy with the results. I have so much that I want to do with my life and having my own business is one of them. I want my own brick and mortar store, I already have the name chosen and registered, I am going to achieve this desire. I will discuss more of this at a later time.
I have read several books that I am going to recommend. I would like to say if this is your first time reading anything of this nature I would start with “Wishes Fulfilled” by Dr. Wayne Dyer. He is a renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development. I love how he explains in detail how to manifest your hearts desires giving you guidance on the proper way to use your thoughts and feelings. He explains in detail by referring to other books so that you can better understand that these are not just his thoughts or beliefs they are derived from many other wise and knowing people.
Dr. Wayne Dyer
I will leave you with a little snippet that I would like to share with you from his book: “If you put the seed of failure into the subconscious and feed it with feeling that way, it will reproduce failure. If you plant the seed of disease into your subconscious mind by feeling this way in your body it will augment disease for you. If you plant the seed of misery into your subconscious mind by feeling miserable, it will cultivate and produce misery for you. This is why it is so all out crucial to begin feeling in your body what you would like to manifest into your life. You can get to the point where the magnetic-like power in your own field of energy is so joyfully loving that you can have a mere flash of imagining and feeling something powerful and good, and with almost no passage of three-dimensional time it will appear in your life! Whatever you wish to manifest, associate a feeling of love with it and impress that feeling on the universal subconscious mind--and it will do the rest.” -Wayne Dyer
Please feel free to leave your comments, I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject. On my next post I will discuss another book that I found enlightening and very interesting.
Until then, may your day be filled with peace and wrapped in love.
